Summer is Here! Here are some reminders:

Fall Registration: 

PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS WHEN YOU COME TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD:

  • Two proofs of residency/shared residency declaration
  • Bills from the person signing the form
  • UPDATED immunization records
  • Copies of any 504 or IEP
  • If from out of district, previous school information for records requests
  • Any legal documents pertaining to custody, adoption or restrictions

Wednesday August 6: 8th grade

Thursday August 7: 7th grade

Friday August 8: 6th grade

Monday August 11: Any new students

SCHOOL STARTS AUGUST 14!

 

Free Meals all summer long at Chavez, Libby, Del Rio, (mostly all schools)- for all children 18 or younger, no ID or card necessary: 

  • Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

  • Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Full Message: 

The Oceanside Unified School District Nutrition Services Department is proud to announce the launch of the Summer 2025 Nutrition Services Program, operating under the Seamless Summer Option (SSO). This program provides free meals to all children and teens ages 18 and under, regardless of school enrollment status. Meals are available at participating sites and are open to the general public.

Program Dates and Schedule

  • Start Date: Monday, June 23, 2025

  • End Date: Friday, August 1, 2025

  • Holiday Closure: No meal service on Friday, July 4, 2025

  • Meal Times:

  • Breakfast: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

  • Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Eligibility & Participation

  • Open to All: Any child or teen 18 years of age or younger may receive meals at any participating site—no enrollment in OUSD is required.

  • No Identification Required: No ID, registration, or documentation is needed to receive a meal.

  • OUSD Summer Program Students: Students enrolled in summer programs such as ESY, Credit Recovery, Original Credit, ELOP, ASSETS, or other district-offered sessions are also eligible and encouraged to participate.

Meal Guidelines

  • Free of Charge: All meals are provided at no cost to participants.

  • On-Site Consumption Required: Meals must be eaten on campus in the designated cafeteria or eating areas, per USDA SSO requirements.

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! We are excited to have you as a part of the Oceanside Unified School District community and are looking forward to a great year together.  

We view your mental health and well-being as a priority for your success at this school. In support of this, we have invested in several resources that you can access whenever you need help. Remember, you are not alone and it is a true act of bravery and strength to seek help.

School Counselors are here to support students in academics, social-emotional, and college and career readiness. We collaborate with teachers, parents, staff, and outside resources to help students succeed in middle school.

Meet Murphy!

Murphy is a trained and certified AKC registered therapy dog. He is also a San Diego Humane Society Canine Ambassador. Murphy loves everyone he meets! He's wonderful at deescalating kids in distress, serves as a great motivator for kids and as a gentle therapy pet for them in times of stress or crisis. Come meet Murphy!
